Pepeng Sinalanta ng Landslide ang La Trinidad Baguio
October 12, 2009Lubhang nasalanta ng bagyong Pepeng ang La Trinidad Baguio. Ito ay dahil sa naganap na isang damakmak na landslide na naganap sa lugar na ito na noo’y nakilala bilang strawberry fields. Umabot na sa mahigit sa 100 ang mga bangkay na namatay sa La Trinidad Benguet ngunit wala talagang magawa ang mga residente sa naganap dahil mabundok ang lugar na ito sa Baguio.

Raymond Red’s Himpapawid
Raymond Red and his obra film, Himpapapwid will be returning to enter the main competition for the Tokyo 22nd International Film Festival. If I remember it right, Raymond Red previously won an award of Cannes Palme D’ Or for his film “Anino” way back in 2000.

Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan kung bakit closed ang SSS Calamity Loan? Ang daming taong nangangailangan nito sa Pilipinas ngayon tapos ang gobyerno ay biglang na close ang loan na ito. It was announced on Philippine television na ibibigay na ng SSS, Pag Ibig at GSIS ang nasabing calamity loan tapos eto biglang wala.

Mayroong lumabas na artikulo sa Inquirer.Net na nabasa ko lang ngayon sa entertainment section ng kanilang website na nagsasabing may nude photos daw diumano si Maui Taylor na kumakalat ngayon. According to the news, up to Php 20, 000.00 may be had through the emergency loan program of the GSIS we came to know as the GSIS calamity loan.

What Cory Aquino’s Funeral Video Taught Me
August 5, 2009I’ve watched Cory Aquino’s live funeral video and I must admit that people are all very lucky especially those who were able to make it to the places where the former president of the Philippines was able to pass them by. I cannot describe the feeling of it even if I was at home and using the internet to seek for live video coverage of Cory Aquino’s funeral.
The video taught me something - “that whatever you bestow upon the people whom you serve while you were i the government, it will all come back to you in the end”. There is almost a tagalog version in irony of this saying which states that “kung ano ang ibinato mo sa kapwa mo ay sya rin nilang ibabato sa iyo”.
This historical event is a warning to those in the government and in the positions in the government that whichever they do to the people, in the end, it will all come back to them. If they betray the people with false belief, in the end, the people will know and they will also be the one to decide.

2009 MMFF Movie Entries Are Out
July 4, 2009The MMFF 2009 movie entries are already out. I was able to catch a short video of the release by the Metro Manila Film Festival committee headed by Bayani Fernando. I want my readers here at The Buzz Blog to know that I am in full support for all the Filipino films that will be featured in the MMFF 2009 movies list which as of now updates say is all in all 8.
Please watch the MMFF 2009 movies below for more information and I am urging all of you to please watch local movies this coming Christmas seaason which is only a few months away.
